HOLZMA will soon be launching the new 5 series. The top models of the Holzbronn-based mechanical engineering company stand for sophisticated technology of the highest standard and offer outstanding stability and precision. HOLZMA has optimized the new series in many aspects and is once more setting the benchmarks for panel saws in the top league.
In the course of redesigning the 5 series, HOLZMA engineers focused above all on two points: the extraction system of the high-performance saws and their ease of servicing. The results of this focused development have, above all, increased the life cycle of the saws and thus their efficiency in the production process.
The list of new technical features is long: For example, the robust saw carriage of the 5 series has been fundamentally overhauled. Chip guidance features have been further improved and the lifting principles of the saw blade motors changed. Furthermore, HOLZMA has designed the saw carriage to make changing belts a quick and easy task. Other features include innovative changes in the overall extraction technology. Altogether, these measures have significantly improved ease of servicing, reduced dust levels and thus increased the service life of the saws.
dustEx extraction system now for the 5 series too
Another advantage is that models of the new 5 series can now be equipped with the innovative HOLZMA extraction system dustEx. This new development made its debut at LIGNA 2013 and achieves exceptionally good extraction results, even with dust cuts. HOLZMA shows how dustEx works in a video available at www.youtube.com/holzma
HOLZMA already presented a streamlined product portfolio for its 3 and 4 series at LIGNA 2013 - a successful strategy that has now been implemented in the new 5 series. The principle: the number of different saw models is reduced considerably. The customer now simply chooses the appropriate basic saw and customizes it with additional, individually configurable technologies. This allows each and every HOLZMA customer to choose exactly the panel saw that he needs for his production requirements - no more, but also no less. This makes it easier to plan investments, as well as increasing flexibility and allowing a greater level of customization.
There are many more new features and highlights. These will be presented in detail at the official launch. The new 5 series will be unveiled at HOLZMA Treff 2014. The in-house exhibition in Calw-Holzbronn will be opening its doors daily from 23 to 26 September from 9am to 5pm.

Spinoza has clearly explained the doctrine of animal automatism, and shown it to be perfectly conceivable;569 but he has entirely omitted to explain how the parallel influence of one thought (or feeling) on another is to be understood; for although this too is spoken of as a causal relation, it seems to be quite different from the logical concatenation described as the infinite intellect of God; and to suppose that idea follows from idea like movement from movement would amount to a complete materialisation of mind; while our philosopher would certainly have repudiated Mr. Shadworth Hodgson’s theory, that states of consciousness are only connected through their extended substratum, as the segments of a mosaic picture are held together by the underlying surface of masonry. Nor can we admit that Spinoza entertained the theory, now so popular, according to which extension and consciousness are merely different aspects of a single reality. For this would imply that the substance which they manifest had an existence of its own apart from its attributes; whereas Spinoza makes it consist of the attributes, that is to say, identifies it with their totality.
