New innovations from Hettich lead to success at AWISA 2014

Over 5800 visitors across Australia travelled to the largest woodworking exhibition in the southern hemisphere AWISA in Brisbane from 6 to 9 August 2014. The 240 square metre stand of Hettich stood out among the crowd and drew in thousands of engaged and interested visitors.
"The 2014 AWISA Exhibition was the platform for presenting new products and trends from the drawers, hinges and sliding and fold¬ing segments. Visitors experienced the new innovative range of high-quality premium sliding doors", says Marketing Support Man¬ager Corene Roberts. The InLine XL system for flush fitting cabi¬nets provides maximum design flexibility, functionality and is aes¬thetically appealing. It is one of the first sliding door systems that manages without handles, the doors open in response to a light pull on the door's outermost edge. You can now expect to find InLine XL not only in wardrobes but also pantry units for kitchens.
ArciTech impressed with the new colour range of Silver and An-thracite and the innovative function that combines a mechanical Push to open drawer opening system with the luxurious feel of the soft-close Silent System. The result: handleless design, a standard drawer, no electricity, narrow front panel gap - all combined in one product.
The Sensys profile door and wide-angle hinge were presented for the first time at AWISA, following the appearance at the exhibition Supplier woodworking magazine awarded the Gold Star Award to the 165 degrees Sensys wide angle hinge. The multi award win¬ning product gives cabinet doors a wide opening angle and closes them evenly and gently. Zero-protrusion hinges make it possible to fit internal drawers without spacer profiles, preventing trapped fin¬gers no matter what position the door is in. The Sensys wide-angle hinge has also received the iF Product Design Award 2014 and the Red Dot Award Product Design 2014.

Spinoza has clearly explained the doctrine of animal automatism, and shown it to be perfectly conceivable;569 but he has entirely omitted to explain how the parallel influence of one thought (or feeling) on another is to be understood; for although this too is spoken of as a causal relation, it seems to be quite different from the logical concatenation described as the infinite intellect of God; and to suppose that idea follows from idea like movement from movement would amount to a complete materialisation of mind; while our philosopher would certainly have repudiated Mr. Shadworth Hodgson’s theory, that states of consciousness are only connected through their extended substratum, as the segments of a mosaic picture are held together by the underlying surface of masonry. Nor can we admit that Spinoza entertained the theory, now so popular, according to which extension and consciousness are merely different aspects of a single reality. For this would imply that the substance which they manifest had an existence of its own apart from its attributes; whereas Spinoza makes it consist of the attributes, that is to say, identifies it with their totality.
